The trap is so flimsy that the end doors have gaps so the animal can get out. Here is what happened, and it is true.....I set the trap with bread and peanut butter, trying to entice the chipmunks. When I got home the trap was sprung, some of the bait eaten, but no animal. Had some bait left so I did it again the next day and the same thing happened. There was still some bread with peanut butter on the hook but I didn't bother resetting the trap. Clearly it was useless. When I got home the next day the rest of the bait was eaten. The animal went into the trap (when the door was shut) ate the bait and left. This is no trap! What a piece of junk!

Not the best trap but it does work. Best to tie wrap the back door in a couple places, just to make sure it doesn't come open.
