I recently purchased this set of 2 traps and I am very happy with them. So far I have caught 8 tree squirrels and 4 rats, mostly in the small trap using peanut butter on bread or crackers. I tried the larger trap using cat food and caught one of my dogs within hours (oops). I have had the bait stolen out of the small trap a few times without catching anything but I also caught two of the rats after something had already eaten the bait the previous night. Both the door and the door lock are spring loaded on these traps which makes them really secure but takes both hands to open and may be a problem if you catch a skunk. I tied a cord near the bottom of the door so that after defeating the latches I can hold the door open without having my hand on it (until the squirrel figures that the door to his new world is open).
It really did the trick, I caught that pesky raccoon that was destroying my roof.
